On behalf of the staff and school community, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you and your child and hope that you find your time with us rewarding. We value the trust you place in us to provide the very best opportunities we can to cater for every child’s gifts, talents and needs. We look forward to working in partnership with all families, affirming the important work of our parents as the first educators of their children and building positive relationships between all members of our community. It is wonderful to welcome students from many nationalities – the many cultures represented in our school enable us to authentically celebrate diversity.
At Mercy Primary School our focus is on the children in our care. We endeavour to ensure that Mercy is a place where growing minds are challenged and inspired, friendships are developed and character is formed in the Mercy tradition. A safe and nurturing environment where students feel valued and supported in their learning journey is a priority for all staff.
Mercy Primary continues to develop excellent learning programs to meet the needs of all our children. From extra support for our early learners, extending the opportunities for those with particular talents and meeting the needs of children with special requirements, Mercy provides a learning program suited to the abilities of all children.
Our College motto of ‘Love in Action’ is easily seen in the joy of the children at play and in class and in the many ways care of each other, our community and our wider world is shared through what we do. The values of Justice, Compassion, Service, Excellence and Dignity are our core drivers and underpin everything that we do in our wonderful school.
