Careers and Transitions at Mercy College
The progress and future of all students attending Mercy College is our priority.
We have a dedicated, experienced Careers and Transitions Advisor who works closely with students and their parents to ensure a successful transition from school to University, TAFE, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and the workplace. Each student is unique, so to ensure they reach their potential, individual counselling is available to assist them to make the correct curriculum choices.
Careers education is imbedded in the curriculum from Year Nine to Year Twelve and includes; interactive classroom sessions, guest speakers from a variety of tertiary and industry groups and also the opportunity to complete work experience. Many senior students combine school with approved school based apprenticeships and traineeships in their area of interest.
Parents and students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Careers and Transitions Advisor to discuss individual pathway plans.
