The Finucane Hall Gymnasium was built in 1998 and named in honour of long serving principal, Mr Dick Finucane; since then the Gym has been a focal point for our sporting and performing arts programs.
The sprung parquetry floor provides a good playing surface for our basketball, netball, indoor soccer and badminton teams while also providing a quality performance space for our dance teams. A state-of-the-art weights room adds to the features of the Gym and the mezzanine floor can provide extra teaching areas while the gym floor is in full use.
Our musical production is an annual highlight for the performing arts students and staff. A full size stage with quality lighting and sound facilities and seating for over 1000 people provides a first-rate venue to showcase our College. Learning centre and whole school assemblies are also held in the Gym.
A large foyer area, full size kitchen, rehearsal rooms and abundant shower and toilet facilities make the Finucane Hall Gymnasium a great facility at Mercy College .
